How to use it

Keep the unit attached to the number
Area units are squared. One foot equals twelve inches, but one square foot equals 144 square inches. Treating area like a simple length conversion is a common source of large errors.
Rounding
The display keeps enough decimal places for checking and planning. Round only when the tool, material, or measuring device gives you a practical reason to round.
Double check the starting unit
A conversion can be mathematically correct and still be useless if the starting number was labeled with the wrong unit.
