Drawer sizing begins with the clear cabinet opening, then subtracts the clearance required by the slides, top and bottom, and the back. This calculator assumes the front and back fit between the sides and that the bottom enters grooves by the inset you enter.

Box width = opening width − total side clearance. Box height = opening height − top and bottom clearance. Box depth = usable depth − back clearance. Front and back length = box width − 2 × side thickness.
