Calculate practical drawer box dimensions from the cabinet opening and the hardware clearance.
How the cut list is figured
The front and back fit between the two sides. The box width is the opening width minus the total slide clearance. The bottom size assumes it fits into grooves that run around the inside of the box.
Measure the hardware first
- Side mount, undermount and wooden runners require different clearances.
- Actual plywood thickness may differ from its labeled thickness.
- Joinery can change front and back length.
- Confirm the slide manufacturer’s required drawer length.
